What Results Can You Expect?
Results from sclerotherapy are gradual and progressive. Most patients will start to see initial results in about 2-3 weeks as unwanted veins are naturally reabsorbed via the metabolic process. An optimal outcome can take 1+ month for smaller veins and upwards of 3-4 months for larger veins.
Veins that have responded to sclerotherapy typically do not come back. However, the procedure cannot prevent future veins from forming. While the majority of patients are happy with the long-term results of their procedure, others may need touch-up treatments as new veins become prominent.
How Many Treatments Will You Need?
Every patient is unique. Although possible, most patients do not see optimal results with only one treatment.
